A simple ferromagnetic chain

This is a classic ferromagnetic chain of Cr atoms (spin S = 3/2). There is a first-neighbour coupling J1, and a second-neigbour coupling J2 along z. The distance between two Cr atoms is 3 Å, the spins are parallel to x.

The spinwave input file is a simple .text file that can be edited with any standard editor; for the ferromagnetic chain described above it will look like :

The energy threshold, the number of Q- or E-steps can be modified at will by the user. The result file is in a ASCII format that can be imported in any data plotting software, such as GnuPlot.
