Neutron Scattering: An Invaluable Addition to the Nuclear Materials Characterization Toolbox
Dr Caleb Massey
Vendredi 13/11/2020, 15:30-16:31

Small angle neutron scattering (SANS) is an effective tool for understanding processing and irradiation effects on materials, especially when combined with other complimentary analysis techniques. In this presentation, the value of this technique will be highlighted using two recent case studies pertaining to nuclear materials: irradiation enhanced Cr-rich precipitation in FeCrAl alloys and nanoprecipitate optimization in oxide dispersion strengthened Fe-based alloys.
