In connection with the construction in Lund in Sweden of the future European Spallation Source (ESS), the Administrateur Général of CEA, Bernard Bigot, went to Stockholm to sign agreements on scientific cooperation between French and Swedish actors; ESS-AB and CEA, CNRS and Université de Versailles-St Quentin.
The Laboratoire Léon Brillouin (IRAMIS / LLB), CEA-CNRS located on the Plateau de Saclay, is particularly involved in this agreement. The laboratory will have a research contract of € 14 million over a period of 6 years for, the development of two instrumental projects, and research training of young students within joint scientific projects.
