How to reach LLB

Arriving by car

From Paris, take A10 highway to Orléans, Bordeaux, Nantes. Around 15km later, leave the highway at "Cité scientifique". Follow the road 5km, drive along the Saclay village, the nuclear center is now visible 1km ahead (follow the signs). GPS coordinates of main entrance : 48.72965N, 2.14817E (decimals) ou 48°43'46.74" North and 2°8'53.412" East (deg. min. sec.).

Reach Saclay using public transport

Using CEA bus
The closest metro station from the Saclay center is "Le Guichet", located on the line B of the RER to "Saint Rémy les Chevreuses". In the morning, free CEA buses enables to reach Saclay from the "Le Guichet" train station. They leave from "rue Louise Weiss", 300m away, near the parking lots at 7h50, 8h20, 8h55 and 9h30. They drive you to the center main gate (porte nord) where you have to collect your Saclay Pass.
At the end of the day, after having returned your Saclay Pass, a bus leaving at 16h45 from the main gate drives you to the central CEA-Saclay bus station where you can take a bus for the "Le Guichet" train station (bus A0 or A9). Free shuttles drives you also to the "Le Guichet" train sation each 30mn between 17h20 and 19h20. They also stop on the parking of the main gate. Check schedules posted near the entrance gate of the LLB buiding.

Public bus
A bus stop is located at the main gate of the Saclay center (porte nord).
The Web server of the Paris area public transportation will indicate you how to reach this point from any other place within the Paris area. Give your start place in "Departure point", then

  1. in "Arrival", write "CEA Porte Nord"
  2. Select the proposed estination
  3. Give the date and time of your travel
  4. Go

Remarks

Saclay center has a second gate, that you may use only if you have already with you your Saclay Pass. The gate can be reached using bus line 26902 from "Le Guichet" RER train station. Its 2006 schedule can be found here. To obtain more recent informations about this line, enter the following items in the Web server of the Paris area public transportation. Write your starting address in "Departure Point", then

  1. in "Arrival", write "CEA Porte 306"
  2. Select the proposed estination
  3. Give the date and time of your travel
  4. Go
