The payment is according to the Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst (TVöD). Responsibilities: We are seeking a candidate with a PhD in Physics or Chemistry as an instrument scientist on the Membrane Diffractometer V1. The candidate will work as local contact for external user groups and help them to plan and conduct experiments at V1. Requirements: The candidate should have a PhD in Physics or Chemistry, specialized knowledge in neutron diffraction or –reflectometry, experience in preparation and characterization of samples in condensed matter, especially biological samples. Fluent English is assumed, knowledge of higher programming languages is desirable. An extraordinary willingness to work in a team and flexibility is expected.
