We are
seeking a physicist / chemist (Ph.D.) as one of the instrument responsibles for
the small angle scattering instruments of the Jülich Centre for Neutron Science
JCNS at the research reactor FRM II in Garching close to Munich.
Job
description:
Contribution
to the further development of the existing instruments KWS-1, KWS-2 and KWS-3
with a focus on polarised neutrons and polarisation analysis.
Contribution
to the user operation and participation in the research programme of the
institute with focus in nanomagnetism by performing own experiments.
What we
expect from you:
Ph.D. in
physics or chemistry; interest in scientific and technical problems; readiness
to cooperate with groups of the research centre and external users; mobility
(contact to other institutes and companies; experiments at large scale
facilities); experience with scattering experiments (neutron or x-ray).
