JCNS Call for Proposals 2007/2

Dear Colleague:

With this e-mail we wish to announce the second proposal round
in 2007 of the Juelich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS)  with
the deadline of

    November 4, 2007.

In this round proposals are accepted for the following
instruments located at FRM II Munich:

    KWS-2    Small-Angle Neutron Scattering (7m configuration)
    KWS-3    Ultra-Small-Angle Neutron Scattering
    J-NSE    Neutron Spin Echo
    SPHERES  Neutron Backscattering

General information about the instruments and how to submit
a proposal can be obtained from

    http://www.jcns.info

Proposers are advised to contact the instrument responsible
before they submit a proposal in order to ensure feasibility.
Proposals of new user groups will receive preferential treatment.

The user groups selected under this programme benefit from
compensation of travel expenses to Munich and daily allowances
for accommodation.

The use of the electronic proposal system at

    https://fzj.frm2.tum.de

is now mandatory. If you are applying for EU travel support do
not submit your proposal through the FRM II web site.

For the same deadline (November 4, 2007) we are calling for
proposals for the CRG instruments of JCNS at ILL Grenoble:

    IN12     Cold neutron three-axis spectrometer
    IN22     Three-axis spectrometer with polarisation analysis
    D23      Two-axis neutron diffractometer

Note that for these instruments EU support travel cannot be
granted. At the moment proposals for ILL-CRG instruments cannot
be submitted electronically. Please download the proposal form
at http://www.jcns.info/jcns_proposals and submit it by e-mail
to mailto:neutron@fz-juelich.de.
