    Sylvain Petit

    Sylvain Petit received his Ph.D. on spin dynamics in high-temperature superconductors from the Université Paris-Sud (Orsay, France) in 1998. Since 2006, he has been working at the French neutron facility LLB-Orphée (installed in Saclay, France), where he studies multiferroic and magnetoelectric systems, geometric frustration, and more recently, the spin liquid and spin ice physics of pyrochlore magnets. He is in charge of the cold triple-axis spectrometer 4F1 at LLB-Orphée. He lectures several international courses, co-organizes practical exams at LLB, and teaches summer schools on various topics in science.
